Am I doing something wrong? If I'm the first person of the day to try Birdiegame, it doesn't load for me.

It's not you, Marilynne. The game doesn't always load early in the morning. Because the game is not automated and a new image needs to be setup daily, there can be technical problems and/or life related delays some days. Once they are made aware of a problem with a current game, they are usually quick to fix it.
