Of the adult bird. Thayer’s or small AHGU?

I thought the adult is likely a Thayer's, not 100% sure on the imm but it's not a Cali (likely AHGU).

And here I was thinking it looked pretty good… I keep doing that. Head/Bill shape wrong?

Yeah, the head/bill is wrong, as is how heavyset this bird is. CAGU tend to look long and skinny, whereas the GISS here feels very AHGUish.

I was comparing it to my second cycle AHGU from a month ago and convinced myself that the head/Bill was smaller and the primary projection longer. Probably just posture

Compared to this pic of this particular bird. I think it was wishful thinking
