Here's a female Mallard that paired up with an American Wigeon drake. The second picture is the resultant off spring.

Snowing again so added a few more - the second last one has a drake plumaged hen, a Mallard x Black Duck hybrid (MBDH) and a hen.
The first three were about 2.5MB each and reached the post limit so I will use smaller files in future.

more osprey taken with an old film camera i found cheap at a pawn shop, also at St Marks NWR in 2014
they turned out better then i expected.

A few more for Species of the week.
A young bird trying out lilies as a food source.
For two or three winters a male would appear with a female Mallard and hang around in the snow for a month or so. He was fiercely protective of her , driving away other Mallards. However we have never had a Wood Duck/Mallard hybrid reported in the county.
