Red-Tailed Hawk?

Post by MtnAg08 »

I have no experience with hawks (or most birds for that matter...), first time I've caught one perched in a tree. I'm assuming Red-Tailed but want to ask for confirmation. Thanks! Saw him/her today in Avon, CO.

Speckled band across the midsection. Dark patagials (leading edge of wing between shoulder and 'elbow').

Red-tailed all day long and twice on Sundays!
